Shenandoah National Park

We took our first trip as a family of four to Shenandoah National Park last week. It was a great trip. We spent the week hiking in the park. The kids did great. Aliya really seems to enjoy checking out the scenery from the backpack. We're training our kiddies early to be little hikers. Roberto hiked with Aliya and I carried Brayden. It worked out great. The scenery was beautiful in the park and we were fortunate to have great weather the entire week.

Aliya is ready to drive us back home.
Beautiful view from the top of Hawksbill. We hung out and ate lunch at the top.

This is outside of the cabin in the park that President Hoover built and used to use as a weekend retreat. The building is one of only three buildings from the camp that still exists. A ranger gives tours of the building, but you can't take photos of the inside.

Lunch on the rock.

Brayden is exhausted after a day of hiking.
