Camping

This weekend was our annual camping trip with the Schreibers and the Chidisters to Camp Hebron.   It rained pretty heavily Friday night and one family even ended up sleeping in their car as their tent got wet. Luckily things cleared up for Saturday and we had a great time at the pool, playing in the creek and hanging out at the campfire.  The adults played cards after the kids went to bed, which was nice.  It was a great weekend! 

 The creek was just across the road from our campsite and the kids loved splashing in the water. 

 Smores!   A lot of smores were consumed this weekend. 

The kids set up their chairs around this stump and were playing and talking.  It was so cute to listen to them.  The adults sat around the fire and the kids sat around the stump. 

Knoebels and Biking

We had a fun family weekend and went to Knoebels last week Saturday and then biked the Buffalo Valley Rail Trail on Sunday.  The kids loved Knoebels, which has lots of kid-friendly rides.    

Aliya likes this ride where you go up and then drop down several times.  My stomach left me several times during that ride.

After a long day at Knoebels and a late night, the kiddos were quite tired on Sunday.  We biked the nine miles one way from Lewisburg to Mifflinburg where there was a playground.  The kids played on the playground for awhile and napped the whole way back to the car.  We even added on a few miles to let them sleep a little more.

Droste's Visit

Sarah and Brad came to visit in July and we had a great time. It was very nice to see them and to play cards and just hang out.  The kids had fun with them, too!
