Trip to the park

We had our first big outing today and went to John Rudy park in the morning. It was such a beautiful day there was lots of kids at the park. Roberto stopped by during lunch and surprised us. Aliya was super excited to see her daddy and ran right over to him saying "dada, dada" it was really cute. Aliya had lots of fun playing on the slides and running around with Mae. It was a great morning. Now the kiddies are sleeping.

Brayden slept through most of the outing to the park. He just woke up to eat and then went back to sleep. He is already 10 days old.

Grandma has been a huge help. She and Aliya are buddies and hang out every morning so I can sleep in as long as Brayden is sleeping.

Home Coming

Picture Time

Of course we've taken a ton of pictures of Brayden and here are a few of them. He had his hospital photo shoot today and I took a few similar pictures, too.

Aliya had fun running around the room with her new backpack from grandma. She's not quite sure what to think of her little brother just yet. I think she likes him!!

Introducing Brayden Roberto Rivera

At 3:22 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20th, Brayden Roberto Rivera entered the world. He is a beautiful baby boy and we are so excited to welcome him into our family. He is absolutely perfect! We are so happy to have been blessed with another little miracle. Welcome to the family, Brayden!!

He weighed in at 9 pounds .8 ounces and is 21 inches long. Plenty big to take all of the poking he's likely to get from his big sister.

Game night

The Schreibers came over for game night on Saturday. The girls liked to walk around in their movie-star shades.

Grandma's in Town

Grandma is in town to help take care of Aliya when the baby is born. While we are waiting for sprouty to make his/her appearance grandma has been having fun with Aliya. They've been reading books, playing with toys going for walks and hanging out. Aliya was even helping or not helping grandma fold laundry.

New Friends

Aliya met a new friend the other night - Campbell. The two cuties had lots of fun playing together. Aliya really seemed to like climbing in Campbell's big girl bed. Thanks for sharing your toys and bed!

After a fun-filled night of playing the girls were tuckered out. Sweet dreams!

Happy Easter!

We had a great Easter. We went to church in the morning and then over by the Cox's house for dinner along with the Schreibers. The girls had fun playing in the potted plant and the water. They were very messy, but really cute. After dinner, the girls had an egg hunt outside. The eggs were filled with treats, which they seemed to enjoy. It was a beautiful day so it was really nice to be outside and enjoying the weather.

Aliya, Mae and Violet after church. The three little girls actually sat pretty well for the pictures. They looked so pretty in their Easter dresses.

The first egg Aliya found Easter morning. She was quite excited about the treats inside her eggs. She found two eggs before church. She found a few more eggs after church. Aliya and Mae had an Easter egg hunt outside later in the afternoon. The girls seemed to have fun picking up the eggs and putting them in the baskets.
