A few more vacation pics

After being cooped up in the car for many hours, Aliya was super excited to be at home. She crawled all over and pulled out a bunch of toys.

Aliya really likes pancakes. We went to the Log Cabin Pancake House for breakfast and Aliya ate a whole pancake.

Black Bear Sighting

While walking to dinner on Friday night we saw a bear looking for some dinner of it's own.

More Mt. LeConte Pics

We Conqured Mt. Le Conte

It was 10 miles round trip to the LeConte Lodge, but we made it. And Aliya enjoyed the ride. She was talking much of the trip and took a little nap on the way up and another one on the way back down. We had lunch at the top of the mountain before venturing back down. It was an amazing last hike in the mountains.

Dancing Queen

Aliya likes to boogie to Beyonce's latest song...

Little Hiker

We went up to the top of Clingman's Dome and then hiked to Andrew's Bald. The scenery was amazing and Aliya really seemed to enjoy looking at everything. She's our little hiker! She even got sad when it was time to get out of the backpack - too cute! Our little hiker has logged about 15 miles so far. Way to go Aliya!
I gave Roberto a little break and carried Aliya for a little while, but she sure gets heavy after awhile!
Rainbow Falls

You can walk behind Grotto Falls.

On Tuesday, we hiked to Grotto Falls and then to Rainbow Falls. They are both beautiful sights to see and were well worth the effort.

Smoky Mountains Vacation

Laurel Falls!

We left Friday night after work and headed out! We stopped over night at Roanoke, Virginia and finished the journey Saturday morning. Aliya was a little trooper in the car - she did great! We made it to our hotel - Holiday Inn Club Vacations Smoky Mountain Resort. Aliya had fun hanging out on the deck and talking to people and cars and they walked and drove by.
It rained the the first two days so we wandered around Gatlinburg on Sunday. On Monday it cleared up in the afternoon so we were able to hit the park and the trails. We hiked up to Laurel Falls. It was beautiful.

More Labor Day Pics

Labor Day Weekend

Aliya and I ventured back to Wisconsin for Labor Day weekend and went wedding dress shopping with Annie and spent some time with family. Aliya entertained her great-grantparents by crawling all over the floor and talking up a storm. She also went for a boat ride on Crystal Lake.

Laundry time

Aliya discovered the laundry basket and decided to help. Her folding skills could use a little work. :o)

Pig Roast

We went up to Stroudsburg by Roberto's cousin for a pig roast. Aliya met her 2nd cousin Andrew.
