Cake

Aliya enjoyed her very own birthday cake and dove right in. She loved the cake and frosting - just like her daddy. Looks like we've got a sweets girl on our hands.

Aliya's 1st Birthday

Aliya turned 1 on Dec. 9, 2009 and we celebrated with a little party for our big girl. Her grandma and grandpa flew in from Wisconsin to spend her birthday with her and hung out with her for three days. Everyone had a great time.

Thanksgiving

We were invited over to the Coxes house for Thanksgiving and had a very nice afternoon. Aliya enjoyed her first Thanksgiving.

The Beach in Fall

We went to Ocean City, Maryland for the weekend and had a great time walking along the boardwalk and checking out the sites. It was a little bit windy and definitely not beach weather, but it was still a lot of fun. It's great having the ocean only 3+ hours from our house. We're hoping to check out a beach next summer during beach season.

All of that sightseeing wore Aliya out. She took a great nap that afternoon in her stroller.

First Steps

Aliya has been trying so hard to walk for the past few days and she did great! We can't believe how quickly she is learning new skills. She's growing up so quickly. We keep asking her to slow down, but she just won't listen.

Trying to Walk

Aliya tried so hard to walk around the ottoman. Even though she didn't make it, she was very proud of herself and we are too.

Annie and Jeremy Visit

Aunt Annie and soon-to-be uncle Jeremy came to visit. We had a great weekend filled with shopping (girls) and watching football (boys). Too bad it went by so quickly. Aliya had a great time playing with her relatives and showing off her new moves - trying to walk.

Harley Girl

Aliya had fun riding a little Harley. The bike even makes a noise like it's starting up.

Halloween

Out little bumblee bee had fun on her first Halloween. Aliya and her friends Mae and Violet had fun playing together and the two little bees (Aliya and Mae) went trick or treating down the block.

At daycare on Friday, they turned our little girl into a kitty. What a cute little kitten!

Big Sister To Be!

Aliya is proud to announce that she is going to be a big sister next spring. Her little brother or sister is due in late April. We love our little girl so much and are very excited about her little playmate that's on the way! I guess we'd better stock up on our sleep now. :o)

6 Year Anniversary

We went up to Bushkill in the Poconos for our anniversary this weekend. It was a very nice weekend. It's hard to believe it's been six years already. We went to Bushkill Falls and hiked along the waterfalls. One of the waterfalls is called the Niagara Falls of Pennsylvania.

It was a fabulous weekend with my wonderful husband and amazing little girl. I'm very thankful for my great family.

Walking with Help

Ricketts Glen State Park

Ricketts Glen State Park was beautiful over the weekend. It has 21 waterfalls and the leaves were starting to change colors. It was a perfect weekend to check out the park.





Aliya liked looking at all the waterfalls and grandma Rivera did a great job hiking the entire waterfalls trail, which is 7.2 miles.
